Montblanc Meisterstuck Czar Nikolai I 1658 Hommage à W.A. Mozart Malachite Vermeil Mechanical Pencil, which comes with its Mozart CD, unstamped service guide and Mozart presentation box (including white outer) The pencil is fitted with 0.7mm leads.
The pencil has never been used and as such is presented in wonderful condition. There is a small tear to one corner of the box, which isn’t unusual on this style of Montblanc box. The Mozart writing instruments are the smallest in the range.
The Czar Nikolai writing instruments are one of the most famous relatively modern offerings from Montblanc and were only produced around the start of the 2000’s. They were available in two versions, vermeil and platinum plated. This is the AG925 Sterling Silver Vermeil version and when contrasted with the vibrant green malachite cap, it really is a writing instrument to behold. Malachite was chosen for this pen because it was the stone of the Russian Czars.
The intricate detailing is beautiful and the vermeil barrel and trim provide a brightness but at the same time never a brash look. The appropriate France, Metal 2 and serial number markings can be found on the clip ring.

With every pencil that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
With these pencils no longer being available, this represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase a wonderful example, from a trusted seller.
