Montblanc Meisterstuck Czar Nikolai I 144 Classique Malachite Platinum Plated Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. The pen is fitted with an 18k bi-tone medium nib.
This pen has been owned by a very serious collector customer of ours since new. We’ll be listing a number of pens from this collection shortly – condition wise it’s virtually as new, with the pen having only been inked once, so this really is a rare chance to purchase a stunning example.
The Czar Nikolai pens are one of the most famous relatively modern offerings from Montblanc and were only produced around the start of the 2000’s. They were available in two versions, vermeil and platinum plated. This is the latter and when contrasted with the vibrant green malachite cap, it really is a writing instrument to behold. Malachite was chosen for this pen because it was the stone of the Russian Czars.
The intricate detailing is beautiful and the platinum plated barrel and trim provides a brightness but at the same time never a brash look. The appropriate Germany and serial number markings can be found on the clip ring.
Being a 144 this is a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds.
