Montblanc Annual Edition Venetian Carnival 2003 Limited Edition Fountain Pen. The pen has only been lightly used and as such is presented in lovely condition. The pen comes with an izods presentation box. It’s just returned from being serviced by Montblanc in Hamburg and the paperwork will be provided to the purchaser.
Between 2003 and 2012, Montblanc released three pens as part of the annual edition. This is from the Venetian Carnival series and the 2003 pen features Coviello The Fool. One of the most distinctive features of the annual edition pens is the outstanding, hand-painted, Meissen porcelain cap. The year and iconic Meissen crossed blue swords symbol also appears on the cap. The barrel of the pen is gold plated and features a guilloche design.
Being based on the 144 Classique, the pen features a push on cap and is a cartridge / converter (supplied) pen. The 18k medium nib features an engraving of the words ‘annual edition’.
The important details are as follows…
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
This pen is ready for many years of use or simply to be tucked away as part of a wider collection.
