Montblanc 124PL (1935-38) Celluloid Fountain Pen – Fully Restored – Very Rare

Categories: ,

Montblanc 124PL Platinum Striped Celluloid Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box. This is a wonderful example of a very rare pen, with the ratio of black to platinum striped pens being around 15:1. The pen was previously owned by a very serious collector of Montblanc vintage pens and he purchased it fully restored from a seller on

The overall condition is extremely good, in fact we’ve not seen a better one of those in recent years. As with other 124’s this is a button filler – you simply unscrew the blind cap and then press and release the button to fill the pen with ink. The engravings on the blind cap are 124PL and F, confirming a fine nib.

The true beauty of the striped celluloid has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated – it’s extremely difficult to capture the true colour in photos! As mentioned, this is a delightful example which will simply increase in scarcity as the years progress.

The important details are as follows…

– Fine Nib

– Button Filling System

– Platinum Striped Celluloid

– izods presentation box

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller.
